Intro to "I'm not mad anymore" & Story 1: "Fork in the Road"

Really??

The true story of a mother’s vicious hatred and attempts at revenge on the drunk driver who paralyzed her baby daughter from the neck down. “I self-medicated with Stoley’s and other stuff to squelch my hate-filled heart, but after more than 20 years, I gave up and gave in. I  went after him.”  However, the stories in this biweekly series are about more than the union of the Laura Lamb Crusade in Maryland and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers in California in 1980. “These stories are also about earthquakes and romance, addiction and  renewal, retaliation and resiliance, my three husbands, fishing and  hunting, and partying like crazy with all my family and friends!” Cindi  declares.

Fork who?

"My first meeting with the drunk driver who crashed into us and paralyzed Laura ended when I (accidentally) picked up my fork and lunged at him in Denny's Restaurant," Cindi said. This two-minute video  provides a backdrop to the second meeting between Cindi and Charles  Mead.

... beer, bonfires, camping, quilting, her doggies and chickens, and mostly, her husband Gordon Wiley.  "The stories in 'I'm not madd anymore' span a lifetime of smooth sailing and rough rides. There is some striking incongruity here, which has  been there from the start and makes for good reading and lively conversations, I think."
